What are some of the qualities of a good parent? Use specific details and examples to explain your answer.

As I have become a parent myself, I do want to know what makes one a good parent. However, in my opinion, there are no certain qualities of a good parent. It can only be determined by their child, and each child would want different things from their parent.

In my case, I have great parents. I respect both of my parents as a parent and as a person as both parents and as people. They are always supportive and I have always known they are there for me, although I do not usually ask them for any help or advice. They have done many things for me; however, what I am thankful about them most for the most is not what they do as a parent as parents, but the fact they love each other very much. From an early age, to see them enjoying their lives together made me feel very secured secure. I could go and explore whatever I wanted, but I always had a place to return.

I am not sure what I can or will do for my baby as a parent, but I think keeping a good relationship with my husband is a good place to start.
